About FormBlends Calculators
What this site is, who runs it, how the calculators are built and tested, and how to report an error.
FormBlends Calculators is the tool suite of the FormBlends network: a set of small, transparent calculators for the arithmetic around prescribed GLP-1 medication, and guides to the mistakes that arithmetic prevents.
What the site is
Seven calculators, each doing one job: converting a dose between milligrams, millilitres and syringe units at any concentration; laying out titration dates and exporting them to a calendar; applying published trial averages to a body weight; comparing cost per milligram and per month; putting BMI in context; turning body weight into a protein target; and working out a reconstituted concentration. Around them, a set of guides on how to use each tool and on the errors people make without one: units mistaken for millilitres, a concentration carried over from an old vial, a small dose drawn in a large syringe.
Who runs it
The site is written and maintained by the FormBlends editorial team, which also publishes formblends.com. FormBlends operates a GLP-1 weight-loss program that dispenses compounded medication through licensed pharmacies. That is a commercial interest. It is disclosed here, on the medical disclaimer, and wherever a page links to a FormBlends product or report, so you can read the site with it in mind.
How the calculators are built
- Every calculation is a small pure function in a shared library, separate from the page that displays it. The library is covered by automated unit tests that run before every deployment.
- The formula appears in full under each tool. If you can do arithmetic, you can check the tool.
- Each tool carries an assumptions note with the date it was last checked, and a sources list. Where a tool uses a published number (a trial endpoint, a label titration step, a dietary reference intake), the source is a PubMed id, an FDA label record or the originating body.
- Inputs stay in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, stored, or pre-filled next time.
- The tools never recommend a dose. They are arithmetic aids for medication a licensed prescriber has already prescribed and a licensed pharmacy has dispensed with instructions. They are not built for research chemicals.
Editorial rules
No reviews, testimonials, star ratings, or named clinicians. No claim of medical review that did not happen. Compounded drugs are described as what they are: not FDA approved, not interchangeable with brand products, dispensed under a prescription. Numbers we cannot source are not published. Pages carry an updated date, and when a label, price or trial result changes, the page changes and the date moves.
Reporting an error
If a calculator gives a result you believe is wrong, or a page states a number you cannot find in its source, tell us. Reports reach the editorial team through formblends.com; quote the page URL, the inputs you used and the result you expected. Arithmetic errors are fixed as a priority and the fix is noted on the page.
